Troop 1 Tulsa


Interested in joining Troop 1? Boy Scouts is for all boys ages 11-17 (Grades 5-12). Feel free to drop by and watch a troop meeting. We meet on Monday nights at 7:00 at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Tulsa.

AJ Eagleton, who has been volunteering for Troopmaster and Courts of Honor for the last 3 years, has officially passed the torch. Kathy Antonacci will now be in charge of putting together all the patches and pins for the Courts of Honor and Scott Stapleton will be in charge of Troopmaster.

Everyone be sure to thank AJ for her fine service to Troop 1. (and for her continuing service to the U.S. Navy!)

All records for the upcoming court of honor need to be turned in by the Monday night meeting (May 10th) A preliminary report will be sent out Monday evening after everything is entered into Troopmaster.

Swim Tests

The Swim Test will be at Paul Eagleton's House on Sunday, May 2nd from 3:00pm until we are done. The swim test will be administered by John Eagleton.

April Campout

The Mary and  Murrey Education and Research Center

The April Campout will be held at the Mary and Murray Looney Education and Research Center near Colcord, Oklahoma. We will be working on the Leave No Trace Achievement Award. There will also be bat watching, free time to explore, rappelling (scouts that are working the Climbing Merit Badge and need the rappelling to complete it get priority) and a cooking contest.

Cycling Merit Badge

Hi, lets try to get our first 10 mile ride in tomorrow Wednesday April 21,at 6:00 PM.

 We will meet at the pedestrian bridge parking lot near 31st and Riverside.

We will ride south on the river trail past the volleyball courts and back.

There is a slight chance of rain but I think we will be OK.

Eagle District Camporee!
April 16-18, 2010 Zink Ranch

  • Merit badges offered: Camping, Cooking, Wilderness Survival, Pioneering, Astronomy, Fire Safety and Forestry.
  • Scout skills offered:Fire building, Compass (orienteering), Knots and Lashings, Water purification, and Mountain Man Skills.
  • Iron Man Competition: Teams will be made up of four Scouts each. Scouts must be 14 years or older, 1st class rank or above, provide own bike and helmet.
  • Events:Backpacking, Orienteering, Bicycling, Archery and Scout Skills
